New member 67 yr old male here recently diagnosed, after an eye MRI in February and a brain CT scan in March, after ophthalmologist treated me for glaucoma for 5 months (30% loss of visual field in left eye).
I have SCAN Medicare HMO, which usually has excellent service, but my old GP was doing nothing so have just switched to a busy endocrinologist whom I can't see until June 8th.
I've been told one blood test shows it's non-secreting, but my metabolism is bouncing wildly from one extreme to the other, which makes me think it's cycling on and off?
Depending on my blood sugar, I either feel OK or like I'll faint from starvation, even though I'm eating reasonable meals.
I had a light case of polio in the Army 44 years ago, and now realize the fatigue and other problems I thought were post-polio are probably being caused by my pit tumor?
Recently having hot flashes, like I'm running a high fever; so I'll be more patient with menopausal ladies in the future.
Cheers,
Bud
