Welcome to the group Bud! I know June 8 seems like forever, but, spend the time pulling some questions together. We are glad you joined us!
Many times, symptoms related to pituitary disease is attributed to other things, and one blood test cannot show all with pituitary illness. Pituitary disease is one of those thinks where special tests have to be done to check the "baseline" hormone levels, and some tests are then ordered to check specific functions, depending on what the clinical suspecions are. I remember reading an article in a doctors office that advocated some simple blood tests including a prolactin test as an efficient method of screening patients for pituitary disease. Boy... did that author miss the mark!
Glad you are taking things into your own hands! Be of strong character through this... and try to keep of good humor too!
Take care!
Minnie
