PT if you suffer nasea easily, make SURE you mention it to the Docs BEFORE you undergo the anesthesia- they have some wonderful anti-nasea drugs (Zofran being the best) that they can administer before you wake up and keep administering after- Also, don't be shy about asking for pain meds after- Nurses won't automatically give them to you even though you're scheduled for a shot or pill every 3-4 hours or so- KEEP asking for them when it's time for them- this will help the time go by faster- trust me- just got out of 3 weeks of hospital stay for Abdominal surgery.

Also, please post about how your laparoscopic surgery went- the pain levels, the recovery time etc. What exactly will they be operating on? Good luck with hte operation & don't fear the waking up part of it- Even though there may be some pain which you might experience when waking up, you WON'T remember it after a few hours or so- your mind won't be awake enough to remember it- you will experience some minor pain (Especially with laparoscopic which won't be too bad) but will quickly forget it as time goes on. I had 12 inch abdominal incision & I don't remember waking up- I slightly remember when they transfered me to the bed & that it hurt, but the pain was quickly forgotten- Waking up from surgery is like being REALLY drunk- you won't remember much lol
