I am 4 weeks post-op today for a second pituitary surgery. Had follow up appointments already this week and doctors here think they did not fix the cyclic cushing's disease. I was put on cortef for the cortisol replacement and now they are tappering it off so then I can re-do all the testing. Pretty frustrating to go through it all, expect to feel better (I felt great a week after my first surgery but then got a recurrence a year later) and then you realize you feel about the same or even worse than pre-surgery.

I am waiting to see what the next step will be, they mentioned bilateral adrenalectomy and either full radiation to the pituitary or a single laser beam treatment after the adrenalectomy....but no decisions yet. I need to wait until I am off the cortef and we re-do the testing.

Hope you start feeling better, are you on replacement medications? Maybe they need to be adjusted or you might need to add some other replacement like thyroid? Sometimes thyroid ends up being low after pituitary surgery, I think it is quite common for it to happen.
