This sounds a little wierd. If your eye doctor felt that an emergency MRI was indicated - an emergency interpretation of the findings should have occured. If the neurologist did not have the actual films - did he have the printed report from the radiologist? If not, that sounds pretty irresponsible. If it was me, I would insist on seeing the report from the MRI immediately. I don't think that the excess fluid on the brain would be from birth control pills.
