Hello,

I'm so happy to have found somewhere I might be able to receive some information and support.  I'm not sure where to start, so I'll just spit it all out - sorry if it's too much information. I was so shocked when I was diagnosed that I didn't think to ask all the questions that are now buzzing around in my head.  I see a neurosurgon on Tuesday 11th and am a little frightened as I don't know what to expect.  It all started when I went to the dr's last week because I had not had my periods for 6 mths and had been having headaches and not feeling myself.  I had a Pelvic ultrasound which suggested polycystic ovary syndrome, blood tests gave a prolactin reading of 2423, a CT scan showed a pituitary tumour which was confirmed by a MRI.  The tumour is 15mm and "extends to the suprasellar cistern where it abuts the optic chaism....... in the context of elevated prolactin, the appearances most likely represent a prolactinoma complicated by haemorrhage"  It all happened so quickly my head is still spinning...  If anyone could please give me some advice on what to expect when I see the neurosurgeon next week and what questions I should ask it would be very much appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
