Hi Daryl, Thank you very much for your helpful advice. I have my Dad coming to the neurosurgeon appointment with me now, and I was able to find out a lot more by googling pituitary apoplexy. I feel a lot more confident to go in armed with an arsenal of questions and enough information to feel a bit more in control, particularly of my treatment options and my role in making things happen. I am quite concerned about the tumour affecting my vision - I am legally blind in my left eye (1-5% vision) and would be devestated if my right eye suffered any damage. Luckily I only have 5 days until my appointment, although they will be a long 5 days. I read your story and must say that you are truely inspirational.
