Haha… I didn’t see that one,
now I’m disappointed I didn’t. But I saw last week’s, when
the mystery was another patient with hormone imbalance. She had severe DI. I
knew it from the start and kept shouting at the tv like they could hear me. My
kids thought it quite funny! J<o:p></o:p>

Did anyone catch the show on ABC called "Medical
Mysteries" last night? They told a story about a patient who had
unexplained symptoms and asked the audience (us) to figure out his diagnosis. I
was happy to see that 49% believed it was a hormone imbalance-that was my first
guess as well. The patient had acromegaly caused by an ectopic lung tumor
(tumor secreting IGF-1.) I knew he had excess growth hormone and a general
hormone imbalance, but I did not know that the tumor was located in his lungs.<o:p></o:p>
