I went to see an Endo on Friday. Long story short, I was quickly asked if I had ever been treated for depression, maybe I looked sad, it was a heck of drive and traffic was a nightmare.

I was told that a "non-secreting" pit tumor causes "no" symptoms and that is a "fact".

I have numerous symptoms, it's been suggested that I am hypo-pit or Cushings by other Endo, but no additional testing yet-he's in another state, just basic to check for over production of hormones (oh, was also told by Friday's Dr. that if it's Cushings then there is "no way" I would still have cushings after sugery-this contradicts what another well known Dr. told me.....) Anyway, below are the test that she ordered (even after I asked for others recommended by the Pit Network and etc....) It offended her that I would ask for "other" test. She was rather aggitated ....:

I have already had the basics done before, so I wanted the more advanced testing. Am I wrong for asking for other than what she ran? What other testing is recommended? This is my life, my health! I left her office wanting to cry, feeling like I had just wasted my time and money.

*CORTISOL SALIVA TEST- given two viles w/cotton to "chew on" for two consecutive nights @ 11:00pm and then send off to lab.
