Minnie, Thanks for your response! It's soooo great to have you all around when we have questions. Maybe I didn't word that correctly. I do realize that I may have a mixed tumor but apparently the cabergoline increases my GH levels above the range point. While I was off the cab, my levels were w/i normal range. Could the cabergoline actually cause it to increase? Also, I think he screwed up and forgot to order the glucose testing since he did ask me why we didn't do that? (Duh, you obviously didn't order it on your workup request form!) Anyway, do I need to be off the cabergoline again in order for him to get accurate results on the glucose test regarding acromegly? God, I hope not. And lastly, are there many of us who opt for surgery when our dr's are sitting on the fence over it, which seems to be the case with me. What are your thoughts on that?? Obviously, it's a very personal choice but I was hoping you would just give me your thoughts. Once again, thank you now and always!! Thanks for your service to our website and for your generous words of wisdom regarding pit tumors. Without you and all the others of whom's knowledge serve us newer patients when we have no where else to turn. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for you all. All feedback welcome! |
