New Message on Pituitary Chat CT or MRI which is best Reply   Recommend Message 1 in Discussion From: lhatters Hi There, I have results for elevated prolactin being in the 800's and my fertility doc has recommened a CT scan. I had one 8 years ago and it found nothing. I asked if an MRI is better as I had heard that the CT scan does not pick up anything under 10mm. He said if it under 10mm then it doesn't matter anyway as its not serious.   My feeling is that I would prefer the MRI and know that there is something there, even if its only minor, but the cause of my elevated prolactin and discharge. Otherwise I will keep worrying. I have been having cluster headaches of late and am concerned that they are related.   What is everyones thoughts - should I hunt down an endo and chase up an MRI - which is safer?   Cheers Linda View other groups in this category.
