Meri:

I am so sorry to hear you have not been feeling well.

I have not had the test yet.

I am primarily worried about the effect on my bp, which is already in the
stratosphere.  210/120.  Obviously I don't want to have a stroke.

I had a lot of trouble finding a lab that could draw
the blood exactly at 8 am, which is what the endo said had to be done or the
test was worthless.  Several labs said though they do open at 7:30 am, they
have only one person working at that time, and she has to open, turn on the
computers, check in patients, check insurance and draw blood so they
cannot promise to draw anybody's blood at a precise time because they do not take appts, and it is first come, first served.  They said there are often large numbers of people there at that time, all fasting and needing to get to work. I  politely pointed out that those people have not taken any medication the night before and had to suffer whatever side effects it caused.  Nonetheless, they said it might be 9 am. before they got around to me.  So no go.

Finally, I think I have finally found a small that will draw the blood at 8 am so I
am going to try to get it done next week.

Meri, I hope you are feeling better......
