First,
I'd find out if the doctors feel that the tumor can be controlled with meds
alone. Most prolactin-secreting tumors can be, and provided that there are
no other medical problems being caused by the tumor (i.e., loss of vision,
etc.), I think meds are the preferred course of treatment.

Good
luck.

My husband was recently diagnosed with a prolactin
secreting pituitary tumor. He has been so relieved to read the
postings on this website. He too has felt the congintive
& memory issues discussed here. He was relieve he isn't the
only one and he isn't just crazy!!

After reading this discussion site, we are definitely going
to request a full horomone panel testing. It seems surgery is
the main cure. We've read about Gamma Knife surgery & the
fully endoscopic procedure but are having a hard time finding
success rates & risk factors for each. Does anyone know of a
study comparing the success rate of each? Or, if you have
personally gone through one or the other, we'd love to hear how
it
turned out. If anyone has weblinks, etc...any info would be
              great.
