kcfighter,   It is my understanding that Gamma Knife and other forms of 
radiation are usually used to threat patients who have had tumors regrow or 
tumors that can not be  removed with surgery.  I have never heard a good 
explanation for this but I suppect it is similar to Prostate Cancer.  Where you 
can have radiation following surgery if the surgery fails but it is very 
difficult to have surgery following radiation because of the scar tissue formed 
during radiation.  This is only my guess but you could ask your Dr.   From what 
I have read hear over the last 5 years folks seem to have an eisier recovery 
following the endoscopic surgery than those who have had the under the lip 
surgery.  I'm not convinced that either method provides better results than the 
other, but I will try the endoscopic if all things are equal and I have a next 
time.  My recovery was slow and difficult but that might have been caused by 
the damage caused by apoplexy.    No mater what treatment you have get a 
recognized expert to do the surgery!   Daryl
