----------------------------------------------------------- From: Daryl Message 7 in Discussion kcfighter, It is my understanding that Gamma Knife and other forms of radiation are usually used to threat patients who have had tumors regrow or tumors that can not be removed with surgery. I have never heard a good explanation for this but I suppect it is similar to Prostate Cancer. Where you can have radiation following surgery if the surgery fails but it is very difficult to have surgery following radiation because of the scar tissue formed during radiation. This is only my guess but you could ask your Dr. From what I have read hear over the last 5 years folks seem to have an eisier recovery following the endoscopic surgery than those who have had the under the lip surgery. I'm not convinced that either method provides better results than the other, but I will try the endoscopic if all things are equal and I have a next time. My recovery was slow and difficult but that might have been caused by the damage caused by apoplexy. No mater what treatment you have get a recognized expert to do the surgery!
