----------------------------------------------------------- From: liltrubin Message 27 in Discussion Lynn: Hello! I hope you are well. My tumor is non-functioning because I do not secrete hormones I have to take hormones to replace those that are deficient. In my case I have abnormally low GH, testosterone, ACTH, and I am not absorbing vitamin B-12. Everything else is in the normal range and I hope it stays that way Some Neurosurgeons do not seems to like to do surgery or gamma knife on people with deficiencies in fear that more hormone will be affected and possibly crash the entire gland. I hope that clarifies things for you a bit. These tumors appear to really affect people in different ways. HUGS, Tina PS Thank you for asking. AOL now offers free email to everyone.
