----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: PT3688041 Message 2 in Discussion Yes. The major concern of physicians is that the tumor will compress the optic chiasm which is located above the pituitary gland. Compression of the optic chiasm leads to loss of 1/2 of thefield of vision in each eye. My tumor grew out rather than up and invaded an area known as the cavernous sinus. The some of the nerves that control the muscles of the eye run through this area. If the tumor invades this area you can develop double vision. This was one of the earlier signs of my tumor. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
