----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: PTResearcher2 Message 1 in Discussion I try to read the boards @ least once a week and answer posts when I can. I apologize for not participating regularly. I was recently diagnosed (this spring) with hyperparathyroidism and M.E.N. 1. I was told that I need parathyroid surgery and pituitary surgery. I was diagnosed with Cushing's disease in June 2005. We found out last week that my Daddy has a recurrence of colon cancer, after a year in remission after his liver resection in February 2006. Daddy was initially diagnosed with colon cancer in September 2005 and had a primary surgery, liver resection, and 6 months of chemo. He has not had any chemo treatments since July 2006. His scans remained clear every 3 months until this latest scan, on April 24th. Daddy will have to undergo treatments asap. He may have another liver surgery and will have another 6 months of chemo. We are praying that he can have the tumors (2) resected from his liver as soon as possible. His surgeon is supposed to let us know later today if surgery is an option. Please pray that it is. It is his best chance for a cure. I will not be able to participate regularly in the boards during the coming weeks/months. I will try to read/respond to posts when I can. I want to thank Minnie for monitoring and keeping the boards updated, you do a great job. Thank you so much. Please keep my Daddy in your prayers. Please also pray for the wisdom of his doctors. Please also keep my family in your prayers. Thank you for your prayers.
