Dear Alex:

Also just had surgery and the head pain was explained to me that it was due to
the positioning and that it could take up to 4 to 6 weeks to clear up.
Apparently our little heads are bolted in with the chin up around a 20 degree
angle and to the left. I was told that bolting part has to be tight enough to
hold still even during an earthquake!!!! LOL!!!! I am only Tylenol and Tylenol
3. I am also taking a mild herbal laxative that does not cause the "laxative
effect" but gets things moving much nicer!!!! My fist marble not to be gross
took 1 hour and 5 minutes!!!! Yes, I timed it and it was not worth all that
effort!!!! My hormones are swinging and I would like to know when that settles
down. I am having severe mood swings and it reminds me of post partum stuff
which got real bad. Give your head a brake it has been through hell!!!!

LOVE,

Tina

Hi I had surgery at UCSF Medical on 9/11/07 performed by Dr. Kunwar and all
went
well. So far the pit tumor is gone. The recovery is a little more than I
expected but I know it is different for everyone. The first day the ringing in
my ears stopped, but since have started again. I was well lying down, but on my
first walk to the door way at the hospital i felt dizzy and my head hurt. I had
some tremors after this but i've been experiencing tremors since taking LAMISIL
and somehow that has caused problems with my central nervous system. 2nd DX is
pudental nerver entrapement not related to pit issues. I had to go to the ER
this morning at 2 am because I began to have water diabetes; so I was given a
nose spray (hormone) that took care of the problem. I'm also taking steroids as
a procausion before I see Dr. Blevins and Dr. Kunwar. This would be 10/23/07
but
I think I have to follow up with them this monday because i went to the ER.
My symptoms are as follows: 1. soreness in the nose cavity where the pit tumor
must of been. i also lost very little blood two teaspoons according to Dr.
Kunwar very unusual. Without pain pills I have pretty severe headaches in the
back when I get up, walk a little, sit upright (sometimes) or stand. But this
is
normal I guess? So now I'm taking the Darvocet more often, but not the full
dosage as I'm doing well with less meds. Boy no one has mentioned that you
have open your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Also that you definately have to
take stool softner for your bowels because any type of pushing hurts your
brain.
How come no one mentioned this not even the doctors???? Will the headaches
go??? When? I would like to know for some of you how long it took to get
better.
Will I have to use hormones forever? how about steroids? or could this be a
temporary issue. Bleeding from the nose has stopped. It stopped when I got
home. I was only at ucmed for one day, booted out of the hospital after one
day.
Would this happen in Europe? Canada? Has anyone seen Michael Moore's movie
"SICKCO." I'm just curious what other countries do. Do they have a nurse come
to
the house and see a patient after surgery? The nurses there were super sweet.
You can tell they love their job and Dr. Blevins came by to see me after the
surgery. I welcome comments, prayers, good thoughts and boy I have a lot of
respect for those of you who have had this done; very brave. Alex
