----------------------------------------------------------- From: Marcia Message 3 in Discussion Hello Granma. You should really get an appointment with an endocrinologist right away. I would not wait until Jan. 2! I felt tired, achy, and emotional for quite a few months after the surgery. However, since you were diagnosed with acromegaly, you need to be monitored to make sure that your GH is still not elevated. You might need more medication than thyroid pills! Did you take more thyroid medication on your own, or did your doctor prescribe it? If your doctor didn't prescribe it, you need to see the doctor and let the doctor make that call. Too much or too little thyroid medication can cause problems too! I hope you can get in to see an endocrinologist that specializes in pituitary problems, and maybe even acromegaly, very soon!
