----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: liltrubin Message 2 in Discussion You may want to run down the list of docs on your plan and call each office to see if they work with pit patients. We have enough trouble getting proper care without having to deal with an endo who does not do pit disease. Also just running those couple of tests are not going to give you a good indication of how you are functioning hormonally. What will give you a better idea is doing all the Thyroid tests, IGF-1, GH, Testosterone, prolactin, ACTH, LH, FSH, Cortisol, the entire endocrine panel. there are numerous disease process that can go on with Pit patients outside of prolactin levels and even if they are in the normal range you still could be affected. If you cannot get help with people inside your plan you may need to have your PCP fight for you to refer you to someone who deals with Pit disease or go out of network. My endo is out of network and they have their own labs so that is not covered either. HUGS, Tina If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk?
