----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: flairmedk Message 4 in Discussion Dear sheetal80, Even though my wife's tumor was not considered a Pituitary Tumor it grew to a size that pressed on her gland and prevented secretion of hormones. We also used Dr. Shahinian. Her tumor was difficult due to all the neurovascular structures involved. Even with that 99% was removed. She is three weeks post surgery on Dec. 24 and the only issues are some numbness around the surgical area and some right sided vision defecit due to brian swelling. We are confident that both will correct and were very pleased with the outcome. My wifes surgery was done just above the eyebrow and the scar is barely visible even as new as it is. Dr. Shahinian has been given a gift and I would give him serious consideration. Please stay strong, don't give up, and help him in his journey through this time. It was December last year that my wife was diagnosed with her tumor and I can tell you it was a hard and trying year. I wish you and your husband the very best. I am happy to answer any questions about our experince with Dr. Shahinian and the hospital.
