My 76 yr.old Mom is having a tough time with heart palpitiations on
Cabergoline. She has always had some heart palpitations, but this is much
worse. Her doc has not been very helpful and basically told her she has to
make up her own mind about whether to quit cabergoline or not. This has her
pretty stressed out. She went to a heart doctor and he told her that her heart
muscle was strong, but didn't know what else to look for. She feels scared and
confused. Is there a specific heart test they can do to monitor whether or not
valvular heart disease is progressing? At her age, I think trying another drug
would be highly advisable before getting surgery. Where can she get
quinagolide (norprolac) in the US? Are the trials going on at Stanford
University? I live in Alaska and she lives in Phoenix, AZ, so it's hard for me
to help. Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks, Laura
