----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: loki525 Message 5 in Discussion I have a pituitary adenoma and I've been followed by Mayo Rochester for over a year now by their endocrinology department and have absolutely no complaints. They've been extremely thorough and attentive and have spent more time with me than any health care providers ever have in the past. I'm currently receiving Sandostatin LAR to shrink my tumor and increase the odds of a complete resection. Incidentally, I'm also recovering from a lumbar laminectomy which I had done there a week a go. I was a patient on their neurosurgery floor and simply could not have received better nursing care. It's the same one I'll go to when I have my pituitary tumor removed so I feel better about that. I am also an advanced practice nurse so I think I have some idea, realistically, what good medical, surgical and nursing care is. As far as I'm concerned, I've received excellent care in all three areas there. Dr. Atkinson was recommended to me as a surgeon who specializes in transphenoidal hypophysectomies. Again, I really don't know how I could have received better care. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/PituitaryChat/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
