Jason my 20-year-old son, has acromegaly. He just had to have surgery to move his kneecap - yup - move his kneecap. I have brought him down here to Naples, FL for Wisconsin to recover as it will be about 3-4 months of rehab. I am trying to find an Endocrinologist that is familiar with Acromegaly and Sandostatin LAR because Jason will require injections while he is here. I have found one wonderful doctor in Gainsville, FL that has stepped up and is willing to treat Jason, but it is a 4.5 hour drive. I am hoping to find someone closer. If anyone has any ideas of a good endocrinologist in the Naples area I sure would appreciate it.
