Hey Meri - Good to hear from you. The first couple of weeks were pretty scary
for Jason. He had so much work done to his knee it looked horrible, and was
very painful. He is now starting very carefully to bend it, and he is in much
less pain. He has a long road ahead of him. His Acromegaly appears to be
under control with his shot every four weeks. The tumor has been stable for
over 18 months, but we all know how those darned things can take off when ever
they feel like it. I actually am leaving him down here by himself at the
end of the week for three days. Katie, our oldest, is having the bustle fitted
on her wedding dress, and I had planned for months to be there. Jason says he
will be fine as long as I fill the house with food as he is unable to drive.
The idea of heading back to Wisconsin right now is not appealing, but it will
only be for a few days - so I am sure I will be able to survive. Jason will
be getting a full set of braces on his teeth as soon as he gets back to
Wisconsin. 9 months later he will have his jaw broken and reset to move his
jaw back. He is ruining his teeth because of the jaw growth. I wish I could
take on some of this medical stuff for him. I sure hope you dad is dealing
with his medical treatment ok. It is so hard to have a loved one sick. Take
care - Chris - Ogy's Mom
