Hi, I have not had surgery nor am I on medication but have debating which route
to go. I do see a functional medicine doctor who has helped me tremendously
down this decision-making road. One thing she pointed out to me that I have
since asked the neurosurgeon and endocronologist about is this: When you are
taking a statin drug, you MUST take a coenzyme Q10 supplement or you will most
likely have horrible side effects. Many doctors simply overlook this or don't
know about it but it is true. I believe what they told me is that your body
can't process or produce (something like that) the Q10 which is vital to your
overall health. A Q10 supplement will not hurt you so I would suggest you
either get a good one from your local health food store or see an alternative
medicine doctor to get one. Hope this helps.
