It seems like the endos were only watching the IGF-1 and not your other hormones. Cortisol is produced by the adrenals, and low cortisol is Addision's. Often times, post pitutiary surgery, the cortisol levels are off-balance. Many patients really suffer when the pituitary begins to shut down post surgery. It seems like you received a double whammy in that you still have acromegaly, and you are deficient in other hormones. I hope your health-care improves. I'll keep you in my prayers.
