Hi, guys, I just attended my first meeting of the local Brain Tumor Support

Group. It was wonderful, finally meeting other tumor patients face-to-face.

Previously it's been very fulfilling to communicate with all of you on PitChat,

"meeting" people like me who may be on the other side of the world. I realize

that depression comes with pituitary tumors, and can be a side effect of our

medications. My friends worry that I'm getting depressed by this board. Now the

Support Group leader says they warn members to stay away from internet message

boards. It is devastating to read of some of your horrendous experiences. My

tumor is being treated with a tiny Dostinex pill twice a week. No surgery. No

powerful chemo. No radiation. I still work and have plenty of energy. Headaches

are mild, but lurking there all day long. I feel guilty that my lemon-sized

prolatinoma is less of a problem than some micros are to many of you. I'm

blessed, but I still wept all the way to Easter Sunday services and through

church. Generally negative emotions don't plague me -- I tell friends I've been

surfing on a tidal wave of JOY. I just worry that I may "wipe out" before I
make

it safe to shore. Am I spending 'way too much time on this board? How long do

the rest of you spend browsing the message titles, or diving deep into a

discussion topic? How often do you check in? One friend says, "You need to

get out more." Any thoughts? Willard in Alabama
