Tina, I am so sorry to hear all that you are going through. It brings back
painful memories too. I also had a microadenoma removed surgically - diagnosis
of cushings and mild acromegaly. Later, I discovered from pathology reports
that the tumor was actually producing excess amounts of prolactin as well!
Anyway, had the tumor removed in Sept of 2001 and started developing the
symptoms again a mere 6-8 months later. I kept telling the drs that I thought
the cushings had come back. However, I had the opposite issue: my labs were
normal. But the MRIs showed that I now had 2 tumors. All of the drs though told
me not to worry because cushings almost never comes back. Here I am now slow
getting the lab results required for another surgery.

I completely understand your frustration. It is devastating when you believe
that you are one of the lucky ones and have been cured. You need to allow
yourself to cry and feel that devastation - you are entitled to it. Then you
pick yourself up and start again. I've read your posts here and you are so
helpful to others. Try to find some peace in knowing that you have helped many
others through this painful journey. You can and will make it through this!

Also, I don't know if you're interested but there is an amazing dr and
researcher in the UK! He's testing out the use of RNA to turn off pituitary
tumors. His name is John Newell-Price
and some info can be found at:
http://www.shef.ac.uk/medicine/staff/newellprice.html.
Also he has an article on his study at:

I truly wish you the best.
Many blessings,
Amy
