Hi Ksherman, I had my surgery last year SEpt 11, 2007 at UCSF. Dr. Blevins is
my endo and Dr. Kunwar performed the surgery. One of the best surgeons in the
U.S. I've heard. I am one who did not do well with cabergoline. It made me very
ill to the point where I was not functioning. The first endo in Marin County
(only endo) had me on too high of a dosage and the UCSF docs lowered my dosage
because it can be dangerous as I would have my adrenaline high and got rapid
heart rates. Dr. Blevin said my 8 mm pit tumor would be too sml to operate
but since I did not do well with Cabergoline it am the perfect candidate to do
surgery. I do not regret it as my prolactin is normal now and I'm back at work
with no symptoms. I'm having my prolactin checked in Sept and I am certain it
will be ok. Good luck. Alexandra
