hey hang on in there I have had or been diagnosed with acromegaly since last
November. Two failed ops due to haemorrage, 5 weeks of radiotherapy and mothly
otrocide jabs. Sandostatin is very good and alleviated most of the symptoms
however the side effects can be as bad such as upset tummy etc but this does
tend to wear off after a day or two. To be honest I am at the end of my tether
and still have horrid headaches and the sweating is like nothing on earth at
times so I am going to ask for a second opinion on Tuesday to try and force
another attempt at surgery despite the obvious risks. Most people respond quite
well so fingers crosed for yourself hopefully you will have more success I wish
you lots of luck. Incidently type in (daily strength ) - as it is a great
support group for acromegaly sufferers you will make lots of friends. cheers
Nick
