----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: MinnieChat Message 2 in Discussion Actually, it is possible that the sarcoid has infiltrated the pituitary and is mimicking a pituitary tumor. Are you on steroid therapy for your sarcoid? If so, this most likely has alot to do with the weight gain. My brother has advanced sarcoidois. He is in his mid 30s. He is legally blind now (because of the sarcoid), is rapidly nearing the day when he will have to start dialysis and will soon be on the transplant list for kidney, pancreatic, and hopefully eye. He was actually denied disability until he became legally blind a few months ago. He applied over 2 years ago. If you think this may be in your future, go ahead and apply now, so that if things turn for the worse, the waiting period is much shorter. Do know that my brother really inspires me to do as I can do for as long as I can do. Try to keep a positive attitude. My brother has been through so much, yet in some ways, he is doing so well.
