I would call your doctor about the drainage if you are
concerned. What kind of surgery did you have?
Transphenodial?
My hubby had a cyst component to his tumor. So, he had
both. The cyst ruptured and disappeared before his surgery, while he was
on the Bromocriptine. I do not know what it was filled
with.
Sorry, I am not more helpful; there are many, many
knowledgable people on this board who can probably help you much better than
I.

I had surgery on 11/14/08 to remove what we believed to be
a non-functioning pituitary tumor. After surgery the dr.
informed me that he didn't believe it was a tumor but possibly
a
cyst. He called yesterday to let me know that the lab they
sent the tumor to (the whole tumor) was unable to clarify what
exactly it was. The dr. thought maybe it was a cyst.
It was filled with milky white stuff. Anybody have any
ideas? The next lab report is supposed to be ready next
                week.

Also, I had a ENT surgeon do the initial "drilling" or
whatever and I am still having bloody snot running past the
tubes and down my throat. Is this normal?

                Thanks for the help!
