Hi, everyone, One of our newest members posted her photo , a lovely and
friendly portrait. I almost emailed her to warn that this might be risky,
something most of us don't choose to do on our Profile page. But it's been ages
since I've heard of anyone even being annoyed by a lurker or stalker, even in
the live chat area. I posted my photo several months ago on my Member
Information profile. Good news! I tried to Google a few of the unique names on
that page and came up empty handed. All of our posts on the message boards are
searchable, but apparently not this private area where we can set security
levels. Since I think of most of you by your first names and not just the
screen name, I wonder, "What does that person look like? I wish I could see
Beka, Debra, Neville, Alex, Amy, Daryl, Darryl, Betsy, Tina, Meri, Cathy,
Kathy, Nancy, Kaylie, Alene, Martha, Charlie," etc. How about it, Carolina,
Katie, Rachel, Chris, Linda W, Maria, April, Sherry, Diane, Dionne, Maureen,
Anita, Ailie in Scotland, Chuck, Tayna, Gloria, Tricia, and everyone else? A
lot of us have posted our photos -- Minnie, Scott, UK's Andy, Jim (JP), officer
David and several more. I realize that we guys don't worry about stalkers like
I female members do.... So whaddya think? Is anyone willing to upload a photo
to your Profile? Just click on your underlined name on the message board and
that'll get you there. Don't know how? They have instructions, or we can offer
some tips. Got no photo? If you have access to a scanner, use your driver's
license photo like I did. (Crop out all the personal details!!!!) I have to
admit I'm a lot grayer than that now. If anyone is wary about keeping their
photo online, how about if we all post them on just one day, like Christmas,
and then delete them afterwards? Don't forget, Microsoft tells us that they're
shutting down MSN Groups in February '09 so Pituitary Chat will have to find a
new home anyway. With us each having huge amounts of storage space, I've even
uploaded a scan of my MRI with the tumor. PitChat members sometimes feel closer
than friends and family, who don't completely understand what we're going
through. It's tough for me to keep thinking of you as just faceless names. I
dunno what the future has in store for our group after Feb., but I'd like to be
able to see you. Thanks, Willard
