Message 2 in Discussion

Hi, Bi Alex,

Your message really had me confused. I kept trying to decipher its title,
Re%3A%20Pituitary%20Tumor%20Removed%201%20month%20ago

I was wondering, "Is she saying her surgery was 20 months ago, 201 months, or 1
month???" But no, you said your surgery was in Sept. last year. That was clear
in the body of the message without all the %20 clutter.

Too, I wondered when you admonished us, "PLEASE TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF AND
DO NOT OVER DO IT. BE KIND TO YOUR BODY." That sounds like more than just
holiday advice to the whole membership. But again I wondered, "If it's a reply
to something already posted, why is it a NEW discussion thread??"

So I ran a search on the word 'Removed' in the garbled title, and found Bix's
"Pituitary Tumor Removed 1 month ago" and replies from his responders. Whew,
confusing! Maybe you could clarify things by copying your message and adding
it as a Reply to Bix's thread.

Then there's that garbled Subject line of your new Discussion.... what's
causing all that unreadable %20 stuff? It reminds me of some odd coding <o :
p> </o : p> that several members had between paragraphs in message postings. I
tracked that down, finding that some word processors have hidden characters
that appear when content is 'pasted' into a form for a Reply.

Are you composing the message in a separate word program first? Or are you
maybe copying a phrase within your browser? The site
http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/html/topics/urlencoding.htm suggests that a
more complex Unicode character set fails to come through when standard ASCII
characters are expected. It says IE Explorer is sloppy with its coding habits.

Maybe an HTML-savvy member can explain to us what's happening to garble your
titles. Other than your August post, I don't seen anyone with %20 probs since
KSTriplets1 last December.

Any ideas, anyone?

Willard
