hi,
cyrus21-admin should install libsasl2-modules, or at least suggest it,
because cyrus21-admin contains /usr/bin/sieveshell which aborts
execution when connecting to a IMAP server when libsasl2-modules are
missing. The message of sieveshell is not really helpful, just:
fl@dellcc14:~$ sieveshell -u myuser -a myuser imapserver.company.com
connecting to imapserver.company.com
unable to connect to server at /usr/bin/sieveshell line 174.
after some digging + searching: installing libsasl2-modules makes it
connect without problems.
maybe this should apply to Cyrus::SIEVE::managesieve and not to
cyrus21-admin (because sieveshell uses that), but I leave that for
the experts.
regards,
Florenz

This bug has been reported against an ancient version of cyrus
(cyrus-2.1) that is no longer supported. It is assumed to be fixed (or
no longer relevant) in newer releases and therefore I'm closing this
report now. If the problem is still reproducible in the current version
(cyrus-2.4), feel free to provide more information, reopen and reassign
this bug report to a current package.
Andreas
