<I neglected to answer this yesterday, sorry>
pkg versions intrinsically contain timestamps:
: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; pkg status -v SUNWcsl
FMRI STATE
UFIX
pkg://opensolaris.org/[EMAIL PROTECTED],5.11-0.79:20080205T153308Z
installed ----
pkg://opensolaris.org/[EMAIL PROTECTED],5.11-0.75:20071114T201528Z known
u---
pkg://opensolaris.org/[EMAIL PROTECTED],5.11-0.75:20071031T174146Z known
u---
: [EMAIL PROTECTED];
So fixes that are on the same branch (typically an intermediate fix)
would receive
each receive their own timestamp when they are published.
We're still working out the details of how only some clients see pkgs
that are temporary
fixes -> the answer might be as simple as just tagging those versions
and in general
keeping clients on the "released fixes only" train.
