Hi,
My group will be testing the upgrade process of opensolaris builds with the
release of Opensolaris2008.05. One thing we'd like to do is check that the
commands work properly.
From past experience a lot can go wrong from running make test in the
source tree and what gets released!
cli-complete.py in the source looks a good way to do this without
reinventing the wheel. However it seems very tied into the build process;
for exmaple there are plenty of
'testutils.setup_environment("../../../proto")' calls in the sourced python.
Is there a better way to get this test to use the system commands
(/usr/bin/pkg rather than proto/root_i386/usr/bin/pkg) than simply 'ln -s /
/export/src/gate/proto/root_i386'?
Cheers,
~Al
