Thanks, that makes sense.  I did update my SUNWipkg to the version from 
build 91 and did a LU with no problems, as expected.

I can also confirm (as have others) that the pidgin issue is fixed in 
91.  At first I was skeptical, as I wasn't sure if the others were using 
SSL, but I certainly had to do the LD_LIBRARY_PATH on build 90 and do 
not have to do so on build 91.
