I wouldn't put SUNWxwmod into slim/LiveCD just yet - it's not useful on x86
machines (no in-kernel x86 frame buffer devices support the needed ioctls,
only SPARC ones do), and at the moment, only Xsun activates it - porting that
code to Xorg is still on the todo list.
(For those not familiar with it, SUNWxwmod delivers the hwc streams module,
which gets pushed onto /dev/mouse stream to take mouse movements and
immediately update the hardware cursor position on the specified fb device,
without having to wait for the X server user space process to get it's
time slot on the CPU and to do the context switches there and back while
it reads input events and then send the cursor updates to the fb device.
Made mouse movement seem much smoother when it was written in the sun4c era.)
