Looks like JSPs for Python :-)

One general comment: It would be nice to reserve the ".html" file suffix 
for files that actually contain just HTML.  Could these be called 
".mako" files? Or some systems use ".shtml" to indicate that it is a 
server-side processed HTML file.

Is the mako build pure Python?
