The code looks fine to me. The only question I have is why -? instead
of -h? A lot of shells treat ? as a wildcard matching character and you

Is it feasible to use -h, or do we have it in use for something else?
I don't know; depends on whether or not you think the arc members will
be amenable to our substitution of -? with -h. With that said, I saw
nothing that said we couldn't have -h in addition to those.
