I'm not sure why this command doesn't work:

# pkg -R /rpool/dc/g11n_pokus2/build_data/pkg_image install pkg://chevy86.japan:10006/[email protected],5.11-0.111:20090414T090415Z
Creating Plan -
pkg: The following pattern(s) did not match any packages in the current catalog.
Try relaxing the pattern, refreshing and/or examining the catalogs:
pkg://chevy86.japan:10006/[email protected],5.11-0.111:20090414T090415Z

sh-3.2#

Any idea?

I'd start by actually setting an authority name for the chevy86.japan:10006 URL and using that in the package FMRI, rather than the URL.

When I set authority for chevy86.japan:10006 to "test"

# pkg -R /rpool/dc/g11n_pokus2/build_data/pkg_image install pkg://test/[email protected],5.11-0.111:20090414T090415Z pkg: The following pattern(s) did not match any packages in the current catalog.
Try relaxing the pattern, refreshing and/or examining the catalogs:
pkg://test/[email protected],5.11-0.111:20090414T090415Z

Well, does a package with that specific name, version + timestamp actually exist in the repo?
I hope so.
sh-3.2# pkg search -s chevy86.japan:10006 -r SUNWipkg-gui
INDEX ACTION VALUE PACKAGE
legacy_pkg legacy SUNWipkg-gui pkg:/[email protected]
sh-3.2#
I checked timestamp via firefox and packagemnager and they are correct.

But I can't use authority in manifest for the Distribution Constructor, right?

That's what the authname elemeent in the various authority tags is for.
It means, the package with timestamp listed in manifest is enough information for Distr.Const.?
<pkg name="[email protected],5.11-0.111:20090414T090415Z"/>
I don't need to specify the repository from which should be packages installed?

Regards,

Jan Hlodan

A "pkg set-publisher" is being run under the covers, and the publisher/authority name is a required value.
