Nope. If/when we can rebuild the index in something approaching the time
it takes to search, we'll do it automatically. Otherwise, I don't
believe it's the right thing to take over a users terminal for 1-2 mins
(or in Dan's case, 6) when they're expecting the operation to finish in
less than 2-3 seconds. This isn't new or changed behavior, all that
changed on those lines is that they're now being translated.
If you want the indexes to be automatically rebuilt, please file a bug
for consideration for post 2009.06.
