sounds like i need to subscribe to YAOML-yet another opensolaris mailing list...

especially since in my mind(small as it is) that the structure and management of a repository is a function of the distro, not of the underling technology base... but this is a windmill i will tilt lightly forever...

so thanx for the redirection, i was under the false assumption that pkg-discuss was about IPS as a technology not the implementation at the repository level...

Rich-- Not an unreasonable assumption :) But Shawn is right. For now,
anyway, pkg-discuss is the place.

I'd like to have some sort of "having trouble?" link which would help
in troubleshooting, but we're not quite there yet.

Shawn-- this might be a potential enhancement for publisher/0-- where
the user should seek technical assistance with connectivity (or other)
problems for said repository. That could be a webpage, or a url,
or something else I suppose. Sort of like the old HOTLINE field
in SVR4 packaging, except that was useless.

It could also be rendered on the web app at some point, too.
