I filed:
10482 upgrade to cherrypy 3.1.2
10483 depot should use custom reason phrases when raising errors
Looking at this more, we'll also need to consider bumping our dependency
require statements to specify 3.1.2 at minimum (as part of 10482).
We'll also need to take that into consideration when back-publishing.
In what digging I've done, I can't see any reason why the 3.1.2 upgrade
should be uneventful.
