I just spent a bunch of time this weekend and yesterday helping someone
upgrade from a 2008.05 installation, as it no longer works out of the box
(bug 11060). As long as the work involved in maintaining an upgrade path
is low (like checking for and removing no-longer-used artifacts of previous
releases), then I'd like to continue doing so.

Ok. Notice that this is server side only, not client. But I'm fine with
leaving it around.
