I don't think install-discuss is the right place for discussion audio
driver issues.  I don't know if there's an audio-specific forum, but I'd
try driver-discuss, or anywhere else Garrett might be lurking.

It's possible, but it likely won't do any good.  You can run "pkg fix
SUNWaudiohd" if you think there's something wrong with the installation.

In this case, it is -- the only downside of removing slim_install from the
system is that if new packages get added to the livecd, you won't also get
them when you upgrade.  That's probably not a big deal.
