Can fmri ever be None at line 3666?
Should this change increment CACHE_VERSION in src/gui/modules/cache.py
to ensure that we do not continue to use incorrect cached version?

Basically our algorithm to calculate visible name of the package was
modifying the package name. The modified name was then compared with
the name from the static file, which was wrong as we should compare
the original package name.
