Hi,
I have a snv_127 system I'm trying to image-update to snv_130, and
having trouble.
First off, it's suspicious that even after a "pkg refresh" a "pkg
install SUNWipkg" is returning "No updates necessary for this image.".
That can't be right, can it?
No, it is right. Unless a new version of SUNWipkg is published for your
specific build, there are no updates available for it.
If a newer version was available for your build, then image-update would
exit with a failure message asking you to update it first.

# pkg image-update --be-name snv_130
Creating Plan -pkg: Cannot remove
'pkg://opensolaris.org/[email protected],5.11-0.127:20091111T055042Z'
due to the following packages that depend on it:
pkg://opensolaris.org/[email protected],5.11-0.127:20091111T055202Z
Anyone have an idea of what might be going wrong here? Did I miss some
special install instructions?
No, it looks like you've found a new failure case :/ I'll let our
resident experts here analyse.
